About

Armed with a bachelor’s degree in international politics from NYU, Rob trekked to Europe on motorcycle to witness the collapse of the Berlin wall.

Back Stateside, Rob continued on to

graduate study in European history at UCLA. During his post grad year Rob rekindled his boyhood passion for building.

Among his construction credits is the cult classic, ‘Army of Darkness.’ Rob joined the Art Directors Guild after three seasons on ‘Power Rangers’ for Saban Entertainment. He has been moving forward ever since.

Rob is comfortable in a variety of genres, periods and budget arenas. Teaming with legendary horror maven Tobe Hooper, Rob was able to get inside his head and help him actualize the bizarre underground realm for ‘Mortuary.’ In addition, Rob serves as a producer and designer on the indie stoner comedy ‘Night of the Alien.’ Among his recent design credits are the action/horror, RAZE, which became a breakout hit at the Tribeca Film Festival, and more recently, The Blackout, a location-heavy apocalyptic film, set in the Berkshires.

Authentic and practical Rob feels that sets and locations should never look art directed. “If they don’t feel real, I have not done my job.” He looks up to Dante Ferretti and Jack Fisk as stellar design artists.
